Has it blown anyone else away that LBJ has left the cavs and gone to Miami to almost guarantee them a conference final and a 50\50 shot at the 10\11 NBA title ?

Or does no-one care about the NBA?

Good topic and you are dead right.

Le Bron hooking up with Wade and Bosh and Riley is huge.

Excluding injuries (and possibly egos?), it is hard to see how they will not be eastern conference champs at the least.

the two teams that I keep an interest in - the nets and celtics are also in the east and i cannot see how either team will get near miami next year. the nets isn't a surprise but i think boston's window is starting to disappear.

Interesting to hear Le Bron say that it wasn't about the huge pay day, if it were, he'd have stayed in Cleveland.

For me, that's a bit like S Tait talking about his slower ball that still skims past my throat at 135km/h. Le Bron isn't exactly going there for the love.

What is most interesting now is who the heat sign to fill the roles. Also what do the cavs do? There aren't any other huge Free agents around and if there were no-one wants to go to Cleveland. Bosh could've to play with LBJ and then bring a title to the Cavs but he said no and then took LBJ with him to Miami!

David "Demitriou" Stern has fined the Cavs owner $100 grand for having a go at Le Bron for leaving!

http://gossiponthis.com/2010/07/16/clev ... ert-fined/

The thing that gets me is that Gilbert posted the letter to NBA.COM
So it would seem that the NBA published the letter to generate the traffic and publicity and then fined the writer - Gilbert - for the privilege.

If Stern felt so strongly about the content of the message, surely he could have had it removed from his organisation's website rather than slapping down a hundred grand fine.

I don't know who the Cavs can sign to give them a chance next year. maybe it's time to bring back ehlo and daugherty....

That letter was posted on the cavs website the day after Lebron announced he was going to Miami.
The feeling is understandable however that sort of personal attack should never come from the owner of an organisation to an ex-employee, just because he decided to change jobs.

I cannot believe Jesse Jackson then came out and said gilbert was behaving as if Lebron was a runaway slave!

Shaq joins Boston!

Still won't be enough to beat Miami but an interesting move none the less.

I love the way the big guys play forever in the NBA - Kareem, Olajuwon, Ewing, the Chief, Bill Cartwright....

Yes the big shamrock now.

The c's are still a show cos the east aren't that deep outside of miami, c's and magic.
Boston stoped lebron this year and all it takes is a bad quarter at finals time.
